If he got the branch of his choice in any NIT's then only send him to NIT's, but as you said he got very good rank in VIT so he can get good branches there. Send him to VIT, Vellore, because as per the latest NIRF ranking VIT secures 13th position surpassing many IITs and NITs.

It is a very good college having beautiful infrastructure and when it comes to academics they are engaged with many of the foreign Universities and with them they conduct quiz and interactive sessions so that the student can get to know about the world that what actually is going around, how is the market of different sectors, what are the requirements for various types of businesses and such types of things that are helpful for a student for future stand point and the faculty that the college is having and they have faculty from Australia, Asia, Europe to describe and bring in new environment of learning and what is their approa

Cut-off marks varies from college to college, but yes, for a good college, you require a score of 200-220. An even better score like 250-270 will land you in SPA Delhi.

NSIT and PEC are difficult for you to grab as you are from Rajasthan and belong to OBC category. Try for MNIT-Jaipur, you might get this college easily.
