The college has not released the placement percentage for the 2026 drive. As per the official report, the participating recruiters made 698 offers to BE, 103 to MTech and 50 to MCA batch 2026.

Ramaiah Institute of Technology and R.V. College of Engineering are both great colleges for MCA however in terms of affordability, one will find Ramaiah Institute of Technology to be more affordable with their respective fees being:
- MSRIT: Total fees of around INR 6.79 Lakhs for 2 years.
- RVCE: Total fees of around INR 9 Lakhs for 2 years.
Other factors students should consider are placements, infrastructure, scholarships, admission, etc.

- RIT: 264 seats across 12 specialisations.
- R.V. College of Engineering: 270 seats across 13 specialisations.
Though R.V. College of Engineering offers more seats students should make sure they offer their preferred specialisation. Admissions to both colleges are based on GATE/ PGCET score.

The the highest package offered during RV College of Engineering BE and MTech / MCA placements 2024 stood at INR 92 LPA and INR 35 LPA, respectively.
