Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences releases the application form for PG and PhD courses in December-January every year. For UG courses, the university releases the notification in March every year. Aspirants have to visit the official website of RAJUVAS for admission.

Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences selects candidates for BVSc based on NEET-UG scores. ICAR AIEEA and ICAR AICE-JRF/ SRF scores are required for PG and PhD programmes, respectively. The selection for Diploma is based on merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam. Selected candidates have to register for university counselling for seat allotment. Aspirants who are alloted seat need to pay a fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences considers the merit of the candidates in the qualifying exam along with entrance test for admission. The basic eligibility is Class 12 for UG and graduation for PG programmes. Below is course-wise eligibility criteria for RAJUVAS:

BVScClass 12 with Physics, Chemistry,  English,  Biology with at least 50% aggregate (40% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST candidates)
MVSc

BVSc and AH degree with not less than 6 out of 10 or equivalent CGPA percentage (60%)

The aggregate required for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates is 55%

PhDMaster's degree in respective/ related subjects with 6.5 out of 10 CGPA or equivalent percentage (6 out of 10 CGPA for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SBC category)
DiplomaClass 12 or equivalent with optional subjects such as PCB or Agriculture Stream Subjects

Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences admissions are primarily entrance-based. However, the selection for Diploma programme is based on merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam. RAJUVAS considers NEET-UG score for admission to BVSc and ICAR AIEEA (PG) for MVSc programmes. For PhD admission, aspirants need to qualify ICAR AICE-JRF/ SRF.

Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences does not offer direct admission. However, candidates applying for MVSc are exempted from appearing for a test if they fall under any of the below categories:

  • Seats reserved under ICAR nominee.
  • Candidates who have nominated by ICAR/foreign nationals sponsored by ICAR/GOI
  • Field extension functionaries deputed by Government of Rajasthan
  • In-service candidates of RAJUVAS and/ or considered as 'in-service of the university' by the university. However, they will be required to fulfil academic qualifications

Comparison of Placements: LUVAS vs. Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS)

  1. According to average salary LUVAS has 4 to 5 LPA whereas RAJUVAS has 3 to 5 LPA.
  2. According to the highest package LUVAS has 7 to 20 LPA where as RAJUVAS has around 10 LPA.
