This library, spread over a huge area of about 37000 sq. ft. has a wide collection of books, journals and dissertations. It has 92298 books and 3245 journals (foreign and national). It has a total of 568 seating capacity with 48 e-learning seats where faculty, researchers and students can refer to various e-learning resources available in the library.

At the UG level courses like BSc, MBBS, BDS, etc. are offered by RIMS. MBBS & BDS are offered for the duration of two years while BSc is offered for the duration of 3 years. At the PG level, courses like MD & MS are offered. MD is offered in streams like General Medicine, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Radiology, etc. The Institute offers DM/ MCh courses in Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Paediatric Surgery and Critical Care department. The fee structure is different for different courses.

Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences is located in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is popularly known as RIMS. The college is an autonomous body established under an act of Jharkhand Assembly and is one of the premier medical colleges in the state and India.The institute was originally called Rajendra Medical College Hospital after Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. The institute is recognised by NMC and Ministry of Health & Family. It offers UG, PG, Advanced Masters and Post Doctorate courses in full time mode. Overall, it is a good institute.
