The scores of RBI Grade B are calculated in the following method:
The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying the penalty for wrong answers
The corrected scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the equated scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms

The Phase I marks of candidates are not considered for RBI Grade B final selection for General Post. The Phase 1 exam serves as screening test. Only the marks obtained in the phase 2 and interview are considered for the final merit list. Candidates qualifying the Mains exam and interview are selected for appointment to the post of RBI Grade B Officers. Phase-I exam for General post comprise questions from General Awareness, Reasoning, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. Normalization is done to calculate the scores of RBI Grade B exam. This is done to adjust the difficulty level of question papers across various sessions. Result is announced based on this.

RBI Grade B result is declared online separately for prelims, Mains and final selection. The result is made available in PDF form. The scorecard is released after the declaration of the result. Candidates need to enter the required credentials to download the scorecard. The hard copy of the result is not sent to candidates by post. The RBI Grade B scorecard is released a few days after the declaration of the result. The instructions to download the RBI Grade B result are given below:
