The passage below is accompanied by a set of questions. Choose the best answer to each question.

How we as human beings develop cognitively has been thoroughly researched. Theorists have suggested that children are incapable of understanding the world until they reach a particular stage of cognitive development. Cognitive development is the process whereby a child's understanding of the world changes as a function of age and experience.

No theory of cognitive development has had more impact than the cognitive stages presented by Jean Piaget. Piaget, a Swiss psychologist, suggested that children go through four separate stages in a fixe

The majority of the time fossils are dated using relative dating techniques. Using relative dating the fossil is compared to something for which an age is already known.
For example, if you have a fossil trilobite and it was found in the Wheeler Formation. The Wheeler Formation has been previously dated to approximately 507-million-year-old, so we know the trilobite is also about 507 million years old.
Scientists can use certain types of fossils referred to as index fossils to assist in relative dating via correlation. Index fossils are fossils that are known to only occur within a very specific age range. Typically, commonly occurring

Option C is one of the characteristics of relative dating and hence, can't be true for absolute dating. It can be inferred from these lines “Using relative dating the fossil is compared to something for which an age is already known.”

There is a sentence that is missing in the paragraph below. Look at the paragraph and decide in which blank (option 1, 2, 3, or 4) the following sentence would best fit.

Sentence: On the other side, when I saw the surrounding environment spread far and wide, I actually used to get great surprise and joy.

The mountains still draw my heart from far away. (1)_________. In childhood, when I saw a mountain or a hill from a distance, it seems like they are calling me mountains and mounds. To the rough-dry mountains of a distance of two miles, I used to go away by gallop several times. (2) _________. Then raised questions in my mind, the peop

The given statement starts from the phrase 'On the other side' which means it can never come in the 3rd or the 1st blank. The following line after the 4th blank does not make sense with respect to the given sentence. Hence, option 2 is the most appropriate.

The keyword here 'prey' gives a hint. The preceding line before the 2nd blank talks about the prey of a thylacine. That means the following sentence should elaborate the context of 'size'. And the given sentence, clearly elaborates it. Hence, option 2 is the most appropriate.

There is a sentence that is missing in the paragraph below. Look at the paragraph and decide in which blank (option 1, 2, 3, or 4) the following sentence would best fit.

Sentence: We do not yet know how it is going to be assimilated into our lives.

There is no denying that an ultra-smart AI — let's not call it AGI yet although it spooked a Google engineer so much that he called it sentient — has arrived. (1)_______. No one knows, not even Open AI CEO Sam Altman, whose company is behind GPT. (2)________But the way it's moving, it is fairly safe to predict that AI tools like ChatGPT, Bard and Mid Journey are going to be part of the f

The transition of ideas from the previous sentence to the next is smooth here. The keyword 'know' here gives a clear hint about its placement. After the first blank, the following sentence says –'No one knows, not even….' . As a result, neither we as a people nor its company are aware that how this AI will be assimilated into our lives. Option 1 is the most appropriate here.

Most North Americans think minimal about American Indian culture and history. Researchers have concentrated such issues, yet they have not succeeded in broadcasting their decisions generally. Subsequently, it is as yet not generally realized that American Indians have epics, that they performed plays sometime before Europeans showed up, and that they practised politics and carried on the exchange system.

One way to gain a fuller appreciation of this rich culture is to examine American Indian poetry, for poetry is in all cultures the most central and articulate of the arts. It is especially important that we study American Indian poetry

'Supernatural' is not defined by any researcher in the given passage. Religious is true as Ramsey has mentioned it as sacred.

The first sentence introduces the topic. 13 is a link. 4 can never start the paragraph. Only option D makes sense here.
