The RRB NTPC application form for the Graduate posts (CEN No. 06/2025) was released on October 21 and for Undergraduate level posts (CEN No. 07/2025) on October 28, 2025. The last date to apply online for the Graduate posts was November 27 (extended) and for the undergraduate post was December 4.

In the RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam: General Awareness (40 Questions), Mathematics (30 Questions) and General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 Questions). Total marks allotted are 100. On the other hand the RRB NTPC CBT 2 exam pattern is General Awareness (50 Questions), Mathematics (35 Questions) and General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 Questions). The total marks allotted are 120.

The RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is conducted for 90 minutes and 120 minutes for the PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe. The exam is held for 100 marks. On the other hand, the RRB NTPC CBT 2 exam is also conducted for 90 minutes and 120 for PwBD candidates. It is conducted for those candidates who qualifies the CBT 1 exam.

There are three core subjects in the RRB NTPC exam and all the subjects requires in-depth study for the examination. The subjects are General Awareness, Maths and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The RRB NTPC CBT 1 and CBT 2 syllabus is similar only the difficulty level and the question level differs.

Candidates can download the RRB NTPC Graduate posts exam syllabus PDF by visiting the RRBs regional websites or Central Indian Railways website and there checking the CEN No. The board releases the RRB NTPC syllabus along with the exam pattern. The syllabus of CBT 1 and 2 consists of the subjects including Maths, General Awareness and General Intelligence and Reasoning.

Generally, the RRB NTPC exam is considered to be of Moderate difficulty level. As per experts, the RRB NTPC CBT 1 is considered as Easy to Moderate in difficulty level where as CBT is considered as Moderate to Tough as some of the questions asked may be tricky.

For RRB NTPC Graduate exam, candidates need to study three subjects properly. These three subjects are General Awareness, Maths and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The level of difficulty of the questions at graduate level is slightly higher.

In RRB NTPC exam for CEN No. 06/2025 total of 8868 vacancies were announced in which 5810 are for graduate posts and 3058 for 12th level posts.

Generally, the RRB NTPC exam is considered to be of moderate difficulty or easy to moderate. Questions asked are mainly from the three subjects that is Maths, GK and Reasoning. As per the experts, the level of questions asked in the CBT 1 exam is easy to moderate level and for CBT 2 can be said that moderate to hard.

Yes, there is a negative marking in the RRB NTPC CBT exam. For every wrong answer, one third marks will be deducted. But for unattempted question, there will be no deduction.
