Yes, you can easily take admission for B.Tech at SVNIT with a rank of 4277 in JEE mains. If we see the previous yea ranks, the closing rank for OBC all India in the year 2024 ranged from 21687 to 13565 for all specializations of B.Tech. So as the ST cutoff goes lower than all other categories, you have a very good chance of getting selected as your rank is far better than the previous year cutoffs. However, cutoff varies every year, and selection cannot be guaranteed in advance, but your chances of getting selected are almost 99%.

Admission to SVNIT Surat is mostly on the basis of JEE Main rank, and a rank of 94 appears very competitive. But the choice is subject to category, availability of seats, and home state quota. Your 90% in CBSE will make your profile stronger, but JEE rank is the deciding factor. I suggest verifying the last year's cutoffs for your category on the website of JoSAA to get a better estimate of your possibilities. If you are in a reserved category or home state quota, your possibility might increase.

According to the yearly cutoff trends, an OBC student seeking admission to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat's Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch must get a certain number of JEE Main points. To get a place in CSE under the other state quota, an OBC student normally needs to score in the 94–96 JEE Main percentile or better. The candidates cannot secure a seat in any engineering college without appearing for the JEE exam. The seats are given based on the score of the JEE. The candidates after giving the JEE Exam need to check the merit list of the college and after clearing the exam the candidates are eligible for counselling. Yes, SVNIT offers a merit-cum means scholarship for students belonging to minority communities. This scholarship is offered to minority students with a total family income of up to INR 2.50 LPA. Out of the total number of scholarships, 30% is reserved for girls of each minority. These scholarships are transferrable to male students of that community in case of non-availability of female candidates in that community in the concerned state.
