For admission to SASTRA University for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024. After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for SASTRA University admission.

SASTRA offers B. Tech admittance through the next two streams listed below. In order to be safe for admission to CSE from above in stream 1, the JEE Main percentile and 12th grade grades must be above 95%. Otherwise, marks from the 12th grade of at least 98% are sufficient for admission under stream 2. Additionally, you can verify the cutoff on the official website to acquire accurate information.

The selection of applicants is solely based on three factors: board scores, JEE Mains score, and region. There is no defined cutoff rank or mark in SASTRA. As a result, since the board scores carry the most weight, they are the primary factor in admission. The student who receives the highest grade will decide. Apply under stream 1 if you took the JEE Main exam. You can enrol in stream 1 if your board exam score is 90-95% and your JEE main score is between 50 and 120. To secure a seat in stream 2, you need board exam scores of at least 85 to 90%, and if they are over 95%, you can enrol in a good course.

Since 50% of B.Tech programme seats are based on normalized 10+2 aggregate, you can still be admitted to Sastra University's BTech programme even if you haven't taken the JEE Main test.To enter Sastra University's stream 1, you must receive 90 to 95% of the possible points in your 12th grade exams. You must get at least 90% to be admitted to Sastra University because the subject you will take will also depend on your grade in 12th grade.

Yes, you can get a seat at Sastra University. Your marks are really good enough to get a seat. You should apply under stream 1 as you have appeared for JEE Mains exam.

It cannot be said for sure if you will be able to get CSE in Round 3 of the Sastra Counseling. In the year 2022, the cut-off was 1080. Then for this year, we can expect the cut-off could be higher than the previous year. It is better to improve your rank in the JEE Mains exam, and you can even apply for admission to the spot round counseling. You can even try to apply for a lateral entry scheme.
