Talking about Sastra University BIOTECH Students can apply to TCS and other IT companies, but they also have companies that specialise in the BIOTECH branch. Nestle and Dr. Reddy's lab are two of them. They do have a good chance to work for their core businesses, like Dr. Reddy's lab, or IT firms like TCS. Everything depends on how well you perform. So Good Luck.

There is no such criteria ( minimum JEE marks) for admission in to SASTRA university . SASTRA university has a separate procedure through stream 1 and stream 2 .
Stream 1 .
70 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 1 based on 12 th percentage ( 75 percent after normalisation ) + JEE mains score ( 25 percent )
For example
12 th percentage - 88 (CBSE) and JEE mains score is 80 .
Normalised percentage of board would be as follows
88 * 100/98.6 = 89.25
( Assuming percentage of topper is 98.6 )
Now 89.25 * 0.75 + 80 * 0.25 =86.94
This is your final score . AIR (SASTRA) is prepared based on this final score . There is a chance AIR up

Hello Raghul R, no, Sastra deemed to be university does not prescribe any cutoff for admission. What this means is that a student with any percentage or any ranking can see admission by applying. Of course it's different story whether such student will get admission or not because it depends on the number of seats available and number of students who have applied. To help you gain knowledge further I am attaching a link that you give you all the required information about admission to engineering in Sastra deemed to be university.

You are eligible to get into those universities. Previous years cut off score for JEE have been around 80-85%. But make sure that you have a well rounded profile and score well in the performance tests and interviews.

The admission to SASTRA University for B.Tech courses is based on the SASTRA Engineering Entrance Examination SEEE or JEE Main scores and the cutoff for the particular course and category. The cutoff for ECE may vary each year and depend on various factors such as the number of applicants and the availability of seats. However, based on your rank in Stream 1 (10946), it may be difficult to secure admission to ECE at SASTRA University, as the cutoff rank for ECE is generally lower than this. With a rank of 2901 in Stream 2, you may have a better chance of securing admission to ECE, but it ultimately depends on the availability of seats

Day 1: a maximum of 1300 people would attend the counselling (considering 1 rank is given to multiple candidates) and end up taking close to 80% of the seats. Day 2: first slot must pick the remaining 20%. Hardly any seats are left for the remaining slots. Day 3: Outstation candidates no need to attend. Please check the website before you plan on attending the counselling on Day 3. This is helpful for candidates from Trichy & Tanjore Quota only. If you want to join at any cost, there is an option through management quota for which you should have applied well in advance. Good luck!

SASTRA University is far better/more recognised than SASTRA University. You would have better opportunities/placements at Anna University. Anna University stands in top 10 list of best Engineering colleges in India, where SASTRA stands somewhere between 40 to 60. With that said SASTRA is not bad either, I am a SASTRA alum but given a chance, I would do my engineering at Anna.

Yes, the required marks in IPE is 965 and JEE Main that is required is 150 marks and as the eligibility cross you can get CSE in sastra and the placements of this university is very good, so that you can become successful.

It depends upon the competition and number of students applied. For the academic year 2022-2023 students who got above 985 & above got seat in CSE and ECE departments. Last year it was really tough! Students with 985 to 986 Got ECE mechanical EEE and IT. The cutoff for CSE was 987 and above
This year I think the cutoff for CSE will be 988 or may be more.

You have ample of chances to get CSE in SASTRA. But wait until the 3rd of counseling ends to get your CSE branch. If your JEE rank stands with 40,000. You have ample of chances to get CSE in sastra.
