There is no cutoff in SASTRA. It solely depends on your rank in SASTRA's merit list which will be uploaded after a while. For CSE, the rank must be not more than 500. Only then, you will have a chance. All this is for stream 1. Coming to stream 2, your board percentage should be more than 98.6%

SASTRA University admission is both merit and entrance-based. Students are selected based on national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, NEET, GATE, etc. However, there are a few courses which still offer merit-based admission. It offers over 70 UG, PG, doctoral and distance programmes across Engineering, Science, Management, Law and Fine Arts. SASTRA University Admission 2023-24 is open for MTech courses. Aspirants candidates must visit the official website to apply.

SASTRA offers merit-based scholarships to meritorious and skilled students under the following categories:
- It awards merit scholarships to the students who fall in the top 3 to 10% of high scorers in their semester examinations. The students are offered one-fifth of the semester fee. - The top 3% scorers at the university are offered two-fifth of the semester fee.

Students are selected based on various national-level entrance exams like JEE Main NEET GATE etc. The deemed university revised its Engineering admission policy during 2022 admissions, with 30 per cent of seats based on Class 12 scores and the remaining 70 per cent based on Class 12 and JEE Main Scores, together.
