To be eligible for SBI PO exam, candidates must be a graduate. The marks of Class 12 are not taken into consideration. The educational qualification prescribed for the exam is graduation. The selection process of SBI PO comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and group exercises and interview. The final selection of candidates is done based on the Mains exam and group exercises and interview.

It is not necessary to secure 60 per cent in graduation inorder to be eligible for SBI PO exam. For the SBI PO eligibility percentage, candidates with less than 60% in their graduation are also eligible to take the SBI PO exam. The State Bank of India prescribes no minimum percentage in Graduation for the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) exam. Candidates must be graduates of any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. SBI PO exam will be conducted this year to select candidates for the post of probationary officers in the various branches of the bank. The prelims exam of SBI PO is expected to be conducted in October-November 2024. The prelims exam comprises three sections and carries 100 marks. The Mains exam is expected to be conducted in December 2024. The Mains exam comprises both objective and descriptive-type questions. The total marks allotted to the Mains exam are 250.
