In 2020, a total of 2000 vacancies were unannounced for SBI PO exam. Out of the total vacancies, a total of 810 vacancies were unannounced for General category, 200 for EWS category, 540 for OBC, 150 for ST, 300 for SC. SBI PO 2020 vacancies are given below.

In 2019, a total of 2000 vacancies were announced for Probationary Offices (PO) post. Out of the total vacancies unannounced, 300 are for SC, 150 for ST, 540 for OBC, 200 for EWS and 810 for general category candidates. There were no backlog vacancies unannounced in this year. SBI Clerk exam is conducted for recruitment of candidates for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales). SBI PO exam is conducted for the recruitment of probationary officers. SBI Clerk syllabus is divided into prelims and Mains exams. SBI PO syllabus is divided into prelims exam, Mains exam, psychometric test, group exercises and interview. The difficulty level of SBI PO is easier than SBI Clerk.

Yes, SBI Clerk can apply for SBI PO exam. However, to apply for SBI Clerk exam, candidates need to take permission from the employer. They are also required to provide NOC of the employer. Upon selection, candidates need to resign from the Clerical cadre post and join afresh as PO. No increment will be considered that is your clerical service won't be counted. Candidates applying for the SBI PO post, need to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down for the exam. To apply for SBI PO, candidates need to have graduation degree from a recognised university.
