The Gavilan Scholarship Program is here to assist you in reaching your educational goals. Part-time and full-time student scholarships are available at Gavilan College for most academic majors. Scholarships are awards of money for college expenses that you do not need to repay. All continuing Gavilan College students, transfer students, new students or graduating high school students can apply. There is no fee to apply for scholarships from the Gavilan College online application system.Faculty/staff, local businesses, community organizations, alumni and many other private sources provide these financial student resources. However, scholarships are limited funds and awarded on a competitive basis and/or special criteria (example: major). Academic GPA (grade point average), major and other specifications our donors require determine eligibility.Scholarship award amounts usually range between $250 per year up to any amount.

Different financial aids are offered by the college instead of a blanket scholarship for all students: 

Government of Tamil Nadu loan scholarships: Awarded to students belonging to BC/SC/ ST categories. For example, 271 SC/ST beneficiaries received? 4,030,860, while 602 BC/MBC students received? 6,029,860. 

Minority Scholarships: Provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs for students from minority communities. 

TN PG Scholarships: This is for PG students who are among the top scorers in TANCET and will receive a scholarship of? 6,000 monthly for the first 30 students and first 300 first-year PG students. 

Employee Ward Scholarships: Children of college staff who have 5 or more years of service in the college will get 100% tuition fee exemption.

The Shelton State Community College Foundation provides a number of scholarships for students enrolling at Shelton State Community College. Scholarships are typically offered for an academic year beginning in the fall semester. Awarded scholarships are available for use for the fall, spring, and summer terms. Students meeting institutional admission requirements, who are 60 years of age or older, are eligible for the Senior Adult Scholarship Program, which covers tuition only. The scholarship can be used for transitional and credit courses. Scholarships are limited based on space availability.External scholarships are offered by outside organizations and are not affiliated with Shelton State Community College. The College does not endorse or administer these scholarships; they are independently provided by external entities. Anurag Engineering College provides scholarships to students who have done well in academics and entrance examinations. Though 100% scholarship for all the students is not offered by the college, various scholarship schemes are provided, especially for students with outstanding performance in TS EAMCET or other qualifying examinations. The scholarships can cover a significant portion of tuition fees, thereby reducing the overall financial burden. Students from economically weaker sections may also be eligible for financial assistance. Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology (Dr. TTIT) offers a variety of scholarships to support its students financially. These include merit-based scholarships from the Government of India, post-metric scholarships for SC/ST students, fee reimbursements, defense scholarships, and concessions for various categories. Additionally, the institute provides financial aid to postgraduate students, and minority religion scholarships, and has provisions for educational loans through the Vidya Lakshmi Portal.

While these scholarships can significantly reduce the financial burden, full scholarships covering 100% of tuition and associated costs are rare and typically awarded under exceptional circumstances.
