As per the official website of the JIS College of Engineering, requests for deferrals are not granted automatically. The application needs to be submitted along with reason of deferral. The BC/MBC Scholarship at MIT Chennai is for BC/MBC students meeting these criteria:

1. Income should be below INR 2 lakh.
