SUTD offers a limited number of scholarships to international students based on merit or research work. Apart from this, international students can also take the help of external scholarships and aids from private institutions or their country’s government to study at SUTD.

For undergraduate students, the university offers the following scholarships:

• SUTD Global Excellence Scholarships: It is offered to international students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements. The beneficiary student’s tuition fee is subsidised, and an allowance of SGD 5,000 is provided once in every two terms. This scholarship also provides an optional grant of up to SGD 15,000 for students who graduate from SUTD and opt for postgraduate degrees at SMU or SUTD within three years.

• ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarships: Offered to UG aspirants of ASEAN countries, excluding Singapore, this scholarship recognizes students who have outstanding co-curricular records, showcase leadership skills, and required academic grades.

SUTD offers the following scholarships to graduate students:

• SUTD President’s Graduate Fellowships: This fellowship offers complete tuition fee support along with a monthly stipend of SGD 3,000 to eligible international graduate students. The additional benefits include internships, sponsored overseas studies, and much more.

• SUTD PhD Fellowships: This fellowship offers complete tuition fee support and a monthly stipend ranging from SGD 2,000 to SGD 2,500 to eligible international graduate students.

Flinders University scholarships are available for undergraduate and postgraduate international students to support their educational and career goals. Flinders International research scholarship pays the tuition fees of students for higher research degree. Here are some of the available scholarships and their eligibility criteria:
Birkbeck Business School Master's Scholarships 2025: International students domiciled in India or Nigeria, starting on one of the master's courses offered by the Birkbeck Business School (Management, Economics, and Organizational Psychology) in October or January and studying full time.

Birkbeck International Excellence Scholarships: International overseas tuition fee-paying students holding an unconditional offer on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme offered by Birkbeck, starting in Autumn. Must be ordinarily a resident of a country in the relevant region and self-funded.

Birkbeck Global Future Scholarships: The scholarship will be applied as a discount to the tuition fee for the first year of study, to bring it in line with the Home tuition fee amount for the course.

Birkbeck Access to Postgraduate Study Scholarship: Students accepted onto a master's degree programme at Birkbeck beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. 

VIT Vellore believes in awarding the hard work of all the meritorious students in the form of scholarship schemes run by the VIT management. VIT Vellore scholarships and fee concessions are offered to economically weaker students as well to help them pursue their further education and to make them realise their true potential. Smt. Rajeswari Viswanathan Memorial Scholarship is offered by the institute to meritorious students from economically weak background. Apart from this, students are open to government scholarships. Scholarships offered at the university for BTech applicants are based on their performance in VITEEE and they may avail scholarships based on the same as listed below:

• GV School Development Programme (GVSDP) – Toppers of state/ central board along with VITEEE rank holders are given tuition fee waivers of 100% for up to four years. The table below shows the bifurcation of tuition fee waivers against the total merit:

Symbiosis Institute of Design offers several merit-based and need-based scholarships to students, as per the policy of Symbiosis International Deemed University. The institute provides Merit Scholarship for students from North-East Region, International Scholarships-PG & UG, SCOPE Scholarship for Girl Students from Adopted Villages, 15% fee concession for Nagpur domicile category, SIU Sports Scholarship, etc. Candidates can also avail the scholarships under Central Scholarship Scheme, NHFDC Scholarships for Students with Disabilities, and other national and state government schemes.
