As of now the intake capacity of the institute is 960.

B.Des at UPES School of Design offers various specializations like B.Des in Graphics, B.Des in User Experience, B.Des in Product Design, B.Des in Retail and GAME Design etc. So, the number of seats varies as per different B.Des Specializations. For B.Des in product design, in user experience and in Game design its 240 seats offered in each.

Pursuing B.Des at UPES School of Design is a bit expensive. This is an eight semester program. For the first two semesters, you have to pay INR 149000/- as tuition fees and INR 98000/- as academic service fees total INR 247000/- per semester. For the third and fourth semester you have to pay INR 158000/- as tuition fees and INR 103000/- as academic service fees total of INR 261000/- per semester. For the fifth and sixth semesters the tuition fees would be INR 167000/- and the academic service fees would be INR 110000/- a total of INR 277000/- and for the last two semesters the tuition fees would be INR 176762/- and academic service fee

Greetings,

Let me tell you something. I know a lot of design student here at UPES. And I want to say to you that please do ignore the negative comments you have seen so far. You might have heard about NID. Well this place matches their standard and much more. The faculty members here are all either from NID or IIT Bombay and some from Italy and Manchester too. 

Here the labs are very hi-tech and the workshop machines are also very advanced.

In UPES school 106 Number of students placed. The highest package is INR 12.5 LPA. Average package is INR 7.18 LPA. Top 10% average package is INR 10.86.

To be eligible for a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) School of Design, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in both Class X and XII in any stream:

B.Des. (Bachelor) in Graphics and Communication Design

Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in both Class X and XII in any stream. 

Candidates must also have relevant scores in the accepted entrance exams, such as JEE Main, CUET, NIFT Entrance Exam, NID Entrance Exam, UCEED, and UPES DAT.

Yes, candidates need to score relevant marks in the UPES School of Design entrance exam, UPESDAT, to be admitted to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme at UPES. Candidates can also have a relevant score in national-level exams like JEE/CUET, NID/NIFT/UCEED/NIFT Entrance Exam, and others. 

Candidates must also have at least 50% aggregate in Class 12 and 50% marks in Class 10th. The selection process for B.Des also includes a portfolio presentation and interview.

The management courses are bad, the infrastructure is not that good, and the faculty members are not well trained. The college doesn't have proper facilities like transportation and library. LISAA School of Design is generally more expensive than The Oxford College of Science. The average annual tuition fee for undergraduate programs at LISAA School of Design is around INR 7.8 Lacs to INR 10.6 lakhs.
