SPA Vijayawada does not have direct admission as it is a government institute and has no management quota. Aspirants for B.Arch/BPlan have to qualify either by JEE Main Paper 2 or NATA, and for the following need- requirements: 75% minimum score in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (65% for SC/ST) to apply through JoSAA for counseling (June-July 2025) on JEE/NATA scores, along with a 10+2 marksheet and category certificate.

SPA Vijayawada does not provide 100% scholarship covering the whole tuition fee. For the best JEE Main/NATA performers or economically backward students whose total income is less than INR 2 lakh, there exists a merit-based scholarship from 20%-50% of fees (B.Arch INR 2.77 Lacs total).
Government scholarships like the Central Sector Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC students provide partial fee concessions or stipends. For an architecture and planning school, Campus facilities at SPA Vijayawada appear to be quite modernized. In total, this campus occupies 9.66 acres and has very hi-tech design studios, CAD labs, and a materials museum for knowledge transfer. These include the library, which encompasses both electronic and paper resources published in architectural journals.
There are hostels for more than 200 students (INR 30,000-50,000 per annum) with internet, mess facilities, and recreation spaces. There is badminton and volleyball but students claim "outdoor fields are limited". The campus has 24 hours of security, a medical room, and a canteen of

Maximum placement in SPA Vijayawada - School of Planning and Architecture is around INR 12 LPA, as per 2023 data for B.Arch and B.Planning graduates. Most recruiters are architectural firms like C.P. Kukreja Associates and Morphogenesis, along with planning consultancies for the roles of design, project management and sustainable planning.

Yes, you can get admission to SPA Vijayawada - School of Planning and Architecture BArch course without NATA. To be eligible for the course, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in class 12 in a relevant stream from any recognised board. Eligible candidates will also have to appear for the JEE Main exam (if not appearing for the NATA exam) and score valid marks to secure admission to the course.

To enter SPA Vijayawada for UG courses like B.Arch or B.Planning, the candidate needs 75% in 10+2 (65% for SC/ST) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and must either have qualified the JEE Main Paper 2 examination or NATA.

Established in 2008, SPA Vijayawada - School of Planning and Architecture is a government college under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. As an autonomous institution with central funding, it offers B.Arch, B.Plan, M.Arch, M.Plan, and PhD programs.
Affiliated with the Council of Architecture, it is one of three SPAs (the others being New Delhi and Bhopal) reputed for their architecture and planning education. The government location allows it to charge low fees- B.Arch fees total just INR 2.77 lakh- compared to private institutes, and it also gets decent facilities like design studios. .

Yes, SPA Vijayawada has very experienced faculty. All are professionals have advanced degrees with years of practical industry. The faculty are student-centric in nature and students like to go to them for answers. Reviews say the faculty is friendly, knowledgeable and working to help students.
