A degree in Humanities is one of the most useful backgrounds for an industry data scientist. A humanities degree makes an expert in going deep into the topic, stating research questions, etc. Build knowledge of Probability and Statistics and get basic knowledge of writing code like Python, R, SQL, etc. , and visualizing data. These two areas will get you 90% of the way to being a functional data scientist.

No, Data Science is good for Science students. Data Science is nothing just applied mathematics. Applied Statistics and Computer Science. Data Science requires Logic and critical thinking and Science student is known for their logic.

It will be vary difficult for you to enter in data Science field if you are a non Science student. Because you will learn applied Statistics applied mathematics and computer Science in Data Science and these are subject of Science. So you will face many problems. Many colleges demand Science degree for giving admission in Data Science. However you can try to do it by online mode. Many IITs, Chandigarh University and some other universities are teaching this course in online mode.

If you want government colleges then you have to apply for CUET (UG). After this you will get government colleges based on your marks. If you want private colleges then some private colleges take entrance to give you admission and some colleges give you admission without taking any entrance exam.
