Talking about the course, M.Sc. Agriculture focuses on topics such as Plant Biology Plantation management, Agricultural machinery, Biochemistry, Marketing and Management aspects of Agriculture sector etc. In short, it uses concepts of Science and Biology to improve agricultural productivity. It also focuses on managerial aspects related to this sector. Some topics in M.Sc. Programme are same as in the B.Sc. Programme, but the study material is more advanced and detailed. There are only 13 seats for the Above course in the Tezpur University so the cutoff may above 95%.you may check their college site of detailed information

While it's better not compare older IISERs with newer ones, according to 2022 NIRF rankings, IISER Pune, Kolkata, Mohali, and Bhopal are in the overall category. The rest are not mentioned in the overall rankings. Nature Index (overall share): Bhopal, Pune, Kolkata, TVM, Mohali, Tirupati and Berhampur. But I suggest you do not rely only on one particular ranking system as they would have one flaw or the other. Instead, you should SEE the ranking of a specific department in which you are interested, like nature. Don't forget to SEE further details.

Admissions to IISERs are from 3 channels/ways. Majorly (75 per cent) through SCB (IISER's very own aptitude test), and the rest though JEE (Adv. ). And KVPY.
