Admission Process
Eligible candidates have to write an entrance test conducted by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences. Candidates who qualify in the written test are then interviewed by the Selection Committee.
Candidates who qualify in the interview must undergo a medical examination and get vaccinated.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
Minimum education:
10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
The student shall be medically fit.
Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
The Student shall be admitted once in a year.

Hi. B.Sc. In Medical Laboratory Technology or B.Sc. MLT is an undergraduate programme. Its duration is of 3 years. To be eligible for this course on must pass 10+2 with Science subjects Physics Chemistry Maths and Biology with aggregate of 50%. There are colleges which offer admission on basis of merit or entrance exams. The main focus of this course is to train students to deal with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases through the utilization of clinical laboratory tests. It has a good scope but less scope than the B.Sc. Microbiology course. The Bachelors in Microbiology will be in the most demand because of its use in the research feild. Microbiologists have a great demand in pharmacy. Agricultural research, dairy, food industry, Medical clinical industries. The world is developing daily and with it develops many other microorganisms that are both useful as well as harmful so here researchers & scientists help the common man to distinguish among them.

B.Sc Forensic Science is a 3-year graduate course that involves the application of scientific knowledge for crime investigation. B.Sc. Forensic Science mainly focuses on crime-laboratory based professions. Due to increase in crime rate and criminals, the scope of Forensic Science is increased exponentially. There are lots of job opportunities in the field of Forensic Science. The need of forensic scientists is huge all around the world, especially in India. Dear aspirant, there is very less chance that it will be in category 1, most probably you will get it in category 2 at VIT Vellore campus. VIT Vellore mostly brags about its 95% placement in CSE category, so obviously most of the people go for CSE and other specialisation courses at VIT Vellore. This is one of the main reasons why all other branches at VIT Vellore are vacant initially. Almost all the categories of CSE are full at 30000 rank but the Group A branches at every campus of VIT is almost empty. So you should go for biotechnology in this situation and you will get in category 2. The disadvantage of taking biotechnology at category 2 is that the fees of category 2 is 1 Lacs more than category 1. Hope it helps.
