Biotech is a very wide field which pretty much gives you an insight into the life sciences field. Its somewhat like studying the Encyclopedia of the biological world where you get to know almost everything that the biological world has to offer but without getting too deep. Plant biology M.Sc. Gets much specific with respect to only the biology related to plants which includes almost every theoretical & practical aspects (along with biotechnological application) in plants with exhaustive amount of techniques etc. In short, its like studying a botany book.
