Students must have secured a minimum of 50% in Class 12 to appear for SET. The cut off for SET is expected to be between 25 to 42 across categories.

In 2026, SET will be conducted in two phase, i.e. Test 01 and Test 02. According to the previous year SET analysis and student's reactions, the difficult level of the exam is easy to moderate in both sessions. A good score in SET BBA exam can be subjective, but if we look at the analysis, then the following can be termed as a good score in SET:

SET scores are accepted by the ten prestigious colleges of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University). The admission process includes SET exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interview . After the SET results are announced, individual institutes release their SET cut-offs. Students can check on the official websites of the institutes to know if they match the cutoff required for admissions. If the candidate matches the cutoff criteria, they will be called for further selection procedure which includes Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and/or Personal Interview .
