SET merit list will be prepared by each pariticpating institute based on the score obtained in the SET exam.

Yes, 36 is a good score in SET exam. General category usually faces a competitive SET cut off. The SET 2026 cut off will likely be between 34 to 42 marks.

The expected Symbiosis SET cutoff 2026 for different categories is as follows:

  • General: 30 to 36 marks
  • SC: 27 to 34 marks
  • ST: 25 to 31 marks

Following the release of the SET result, the participating institutes release the SET cutoff. The SET scores are accepted by the 10 esteemed Symbiosis Institutes. These institutions accept SET results for a range of undergraduate degrees. Every institute and course has a distinct SET cut-off. Each participating college or institute's official website will have access to these cutoffs. In order for applicants to be admitted to their selected institute, they must meet the cutoff of the SET exam that they took.

SET cut offs are not unannounced along with the SET result. Individual participating institutes released their own cutoff and they are known after a few days of result announcement when the colleges start their shortlisting process. The SET scores of the candidates shortlisted for Written Ability Test (What) and Personal Interview PI can be considered the SET cut off for the participating institute. SET cut-offs will be announced after the declaration of the result. The SET scores are accepted by the ten prestigious colleges of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and each individual institute releases their own cutoff after the results are announced. SET results are usually announced in the last week of May, for the both the sessions and other courses. Students can check the same on the official websites of the institutes.
