For admission to the BAMS programme, it is crucial that the aspirant has the minimum educational qualification. As per the eligibility criteria of NEET, for selection, candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with at least 50% aggregate (45% for General-PWD and 40% for reserved categories) become eligible for admission. Additionally, Physics, Chemistry,  Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects should have been studied individually in Class 12.

As per the regulations set by the Ministry of AYUSH, it is mandatory for students to have qualified in NEET, in order to be eligible for admission to BAMS courses. Therefore, it is not possible to pursue a BAMS course without appearing for NEET.
