SJMSOM, IIT Bombay shortlists candidates for MBA programme based on CAT score followed by a personal interview round. However, there are other parameters also considered by the institute while providing final admission. Below is the weighatge of different parameters considered for MBA selection:

Given below is the eligibility criteria for PhD in management programme at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay:
- BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate/ 6.5 CPI (55% aggregate/ 6.0 CPI for reserved categories) and at least two years of work experience.
- Master of Management /ME / MTech / MPharm/ MPhil/2 years MBA or 2 years PG Diploma in Management from any institute recognized by a Government body (AICTE / UGC/AIU) with a minimum of 60% aggregate/ 6.5 CPI (55%/ 6.0 CPI for reserved categories)
- Executive MBA of at least one year duration from IITs/IIMs or any institute recognized by a Government body (AICTE/ UGC / AIU) with a minimum of 60% aggregate/ 6.

Aspirants with a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in any discipline with 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ST) can apply. Further, CA, ICWA, CFA, CS, or FRM with a first-class bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ST) can also apply. SJMSOM IIT Bombay also accept applications from candidates appearing for the final degree examination. However, in such a case, the final admission is subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions at the time of admission.

With this pattern of academics, you cannot apply for CAT. You essentially have 12th passing certificate (with >90%) and valid certificates from your University of graduation. Diploma is not count as graduation.
