Sharda University is a Tier 2 Engineering institute in terms of its BTech programmes based on Relative factors include the infrastructure of the universities, the faculty available, opportunity for career growth, placement opportunities, etc. as well as history and pedigree.

However Sharda University is rising towards the upper-echelons of Tier-2 and is a great choice for students who missed the cutoff for one of the more competitive IITs or NITs.

Yes, one can do BTech from Sharda University and make it worth their while with course offering good ROI with fees of ₹ 5.72 L - 13.6 L while the highest package in 2026 belonged to a graduate of the BTech programme who achieved ₹ 1.7 Cr international package from Amazon.

Sharda University offers more than 224 courses including UG, PG, diploma, doctoral, short-term, and integrated programmes. These courses are extended under the streams of Engineering, Management, Medical, Architecture, Design, etc.

Sharda University is one of the top private universities of India being ranked 87th in Universities and is particularly a good choice for Management and Engineering students being ranked among the top 150 institutes for Management or Engineering by NIRF 2025.

Sharda University BTech curriculum ends with a final major project. The entire eighth semester is dedicated to the final college project. At the end of the semester, candidates will need to do a presentation on their project and attend a viva for the conclusion of their course.

Yes, candidates who want to appear for BTech admissions at Sharda University must be over 17 years of from December 31st of the preceeding year to be eligible for BTech admissions.

Sharda University has not provided an upper age limit on any of the BTech courses.

Sharda University ratings for its BTech courses have been on the average level when compared with other similar institutes. However, candidates need to compare BTech courses based on other factors as well before reaching a conclusion including placements, fees, rankings, infrastructure. 

Average rating from students indicate that their is room for improvement for BTech at Sharda University.

Sharda University BTech course fees can vary between different specialisations. The same is true for KR Mangalam University as well. Thus, candidates will need to check first whether their chosen BTech course is offered by both institutes or not.
