Banasthali Vidyapeeth is a deemed university for women only that traces its humble origin in the death of young daughter of Pandit Heeralal Shastri in year 1935. Of course it has come a long way since then. It's a fully residential education hub for women / girls from schooling to doctoral programmes. It's indeed doing yeomen service to the female education in the state of Rajasthan which is otherwise not friendly towards females. This NAAC 'A' certified university has not only undergraduate, post graduate courses in design but has doctoral student also in this field. Textile is a very old industry in Rajasthan and its colorful dresses are known worldwide. With its pedigree and excellent academics, the university claims to achieve placements of almost 100% year after year particularly in this design faculty.To conclude, one can definitely say that for any girl candidate the biggest issue is getting admission. Then everything is super smooth including placements.

The institution has started from a small girl's college for arts and Science in 1999 in Jaipur has now become a full-fledged university spread across almost 100 acres of land near Jaipur. It initially had bio slant but then seeing the feedback and requirement of students community, has spread its wings across engineering, commerce, management, law etc. and of course fashion designing. The status of a university was granted in year 2009 and since then is known as 'Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole' University.
With the conferring of this status, the Institute can effect changes in syllabus based on market requirements. Jaipur is of course famous for its export oriented industry including garment exports and many of the students gets absorbed here only. Delhi and Mumbai markets are also not very far and the MJRP University claims to place majority of its students, but then such claims need to be taken with a pinch of salt since correct data is not available on the website of this university.

Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, commonly known as SGT University, is located in Gurgaon district, Haryana. The university offers many courses right from undergraduate to PhD programs in various branches. B.Design is an undergraduate course for which the annual intake for this course is 40 and the duration is 4 years and divided into 8 semesters. The eligibility is to have a minimum of 40% in 10+2.
The university has good infrastructure and faculty for B.Design. It conducts many workshops and offers good exposure to the students. They offer internship programs for students where they can learn the overall organizational functions and understand the way of working by the designers on buyers design choice and process after receiving the design.
They also make the students do a project through which they are able to develop their creativity. The grads can work as fashion designers, interior designers, costume designers, etc. The university offers few placement opportunities but the students can themselves find jobs as they get a good knowledge at SGT though their curriculum and education.

Ansal's University is private institute located at Gurgaon, NCR. It was established in 2012. It offers degree courses in designing through Sushant School of Design. B.Design (Bachelor of design) is an undergraduate course at Ansal's, for which the eligibility is to have a minimum of 50% in 10+2. The admission is based on the marks and a personal interview.
The university offers a wide variety of opportunities to the students in designing. It undertakes many projects in which students can learn more. They have well-equipped lab facilities and also collaborations with few international colleges. They also offer industrial training and education which is very essential.
The university offers internship programs which make the students to acquire practical knowledge in this field. Further, there are few opportunities for placements but the students can find jobs with the knowledge they acquire from this programme.
Those with B.Design can work as fashion designers, interior designers, graphic designers, etc. And they can earn more if they have many years of experience and qualifications. Doing Masters is also recommended.

The topics you should prepare for the UCEED are:
1 - Visualization and spatial ability: pictorial and diagrammatic questions to test, understanding of the transformation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their relationships, knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts.
2 - Observation & design sensitivity: an ability to detect concealed properties in ordinary things. Applying attention to certain details, analysing, reasoning, classifying, inferring and predicting.
3 - Environmental & social awareness: general awareness of environmental factors such as climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution, weather, natural resources etc., and their implication on the design of products, images, infrastructure and environment. Awareness of social and cultural connection with design& history
4 - Analytical and logical reasoning.
5 - Language and creativity ability: to understand and use standard English. Reading comprehension, knowledge of English grammar such as sentence structure and usage.
6 - Design thinking and problem-solving: ability to use visual analogies, metaphors, signs and symbols. Ability to understand complexity, identify a problem, generate alternatives, evaluate options and select solutions.
About examination pattern:
There will be one question paper of three hours duration. The question paper will be in English only. It will be administered through a computer-based test. The question paper will carry total 300 marks and it will be divided into three sections.
Section A: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. For these questions, an answer is a number that needs to be entered using a virtual keyboard on the computer screen. No choices will be shown for these questions. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks. There is no negative marking for this section. Questions not attempted will be given zero marks.
Section B: multiple select questions (MSQ). Each MSQ has one or more correct answers out of the four given choices. The candidate gets 4 marks only if all the correct choices and no wrong choices are selected. There are no negative or partial marks for this section. Questions not attempted will be given zero marks.
Section C: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). Each MCQ has four choices out of which only one is the correct answer. There is negative marking for this section. Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks and each wrong answer will be awarded 1 mark. Questions not attempted will be zero marks.

AIFD CAT exam pattern is such that there are objective-type questions that candidates need to complete in three hours duration. In AIFD CAT exam, each candidate will be evaluated out of a total of 100 marks.
In AIFD CAT exam paper, each question will have four alternative choices and candidates need to mark the correct answer. There is no negative marking in the exam.
AIFD CAT question paper has a total of three sections as mentioned in the table below:
Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, English Language Competency & Comprehension | 3 Hours | 100 marks
Note: The section of English Language Competency & Comprehension also included a short essay writing question.

The Exam pattern of CEED exam is mentioned below:
CEED exam uses English as a medium of instruction. The CEED exam pattern is such that the test consists of two parts, which are, Part A and Part B. Both the parts are conducted on the same day and aspirants need to appear for both the exams on the given date and time.
CEED Part A Test Pattern
Part A of CEED exam consists of objective type questions MCQ, MSQ and NAT. Candidates need to attempt CEED Part A exam on a computer. Questions asked in this section of CEED exam are from topics such as visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation and design sensitivity.
CEED Part B Test Pattern
Part B of CEED paper comprises of questions to test an aspirant's design, drawing and writing skills. In CEED Part B exam questions are displayed on a computer screen and candidates need to solve them on an answer booklet provided by the invigilator.
There are 8 questions in CEED Part B exam. The marking scheme is such that question number 1-5 in CEED exam are of 50 marks each and candidates have a choice to attempt any one of these questions.
Note: Part A of CEED 2018 will be considered as a screening exam. Thus, students who have been shortlisted in this test will be evaluated for Part B of the exam. However, only the scores of candidates in Part B will be used to prepare the merit list for CEED 2018.
CEED Score
The final CEED score of candidates is determined by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained by candidates in Part A and the remaining 75% weightage is determined basis scores obtained in CEED Part B exam.

I would not suggest you to go for a distance degree in fashion business management. Even if you will learn the theoretical part, you will have no knowledge about the practical. Fashion management is the art of taking a designer's vision from paper to the runway to the racks and, eventually, into the wardrobes of customers around the world. The programme gives students a deeper understanding of the business of fashion and what it takes to create successful fashion products.
One thing that can be done is if you are already into the system somehow, you can then pursue a distance course so as to get an official degree and become a professional individual.
