Banasthali Vidyapeeth is a deemed university for women only that traces its humble origin in the death of young daughter of Pandit Heeralal Shastri in year 1935. The institution has started from a small girl's college for arts and Science in 1999 in Jaipur has now become a full-fledged university spread across almost 100 acres of land near Jaipur. It initially had bio slant but then seeing the feedback and requirement of students community, has spread its wings across engineering, commerce, management, law etc. and of course fashion designing. No, it's not worth to pursue Masters in textile from distance learning in India or from any other country for that matter because it's more like a practical subject. It's not worth because you wouldn't learn the best out of it. You will have a degree but not the knowledge. I will suggest you to go for some regular programme as that will help you in a better way and you will have better career prospectus and job opportunities.

The topics you should prepare for the UCEED are:
1 - Visualization and spatial ability: pictorial and diagrammatic questions to test, understanding of the transformation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their relationships, knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts.
2 - Observation & design sensitivity: an ability to detect concealed properties in ordinary things. Applying attention to certain details, analysing, reasoning, classifying, inferring and predicting.
