But also, the college that you are attending also makes a big difference. Being closer to the city of Pune, Pune university offers better placement opportunities and better opportunities for preparing for higher education, vis-a-vis Shivaji university, that is located in Kolhapur.

Migration is possible in the first year and that too within the university from one college to another. Migrating from one university to another university is not possible.
It would be advisable to contact the officials of both the universities for updated norms as migration procedure differs from one university to another.
