The SRCC GBO syllabus is frequently very difficult. The SRCC GBO course is rather difficult in comparison to other MBA exams such as the CAT/XAT/MAT. However, candidates who prepare well can score highly on the SRCC GBO. Students need to understand the format of the exam as well as the SRCC GBO course. The SRCC GBO syllabus is different for each person depending on their educational background, preparation level, and subject familiarity.

SRCC cut off is generally very high for its various flagship courses, namely BCom and MCom. If a student belongs to General category then admission with 85% may not be possible. However if the student is a part of reservation policy then admission may be possible. Undergraduate courses, especially B.Com (Hons) and B.A. (Hons) Economics, percentage required in Class 12 varies. For B.Com (Hons), students are usually required to aim for around 98% for general category, B.A. (Hons) Economics, the requirement shall be 98.5%. Moreover, mathematics at 12th grade is compulsory in both subjects, although it may not be compulsory in the best 4 subjects. If a student does not study finance or business in 12th grade, 2.5% may be deducted from the required percentage. Since SRCC admission is competitive, it is important to aim for exceptionally high scores.
