SOA University provides lateral entry to the BTech courses to some of the offered specialisation. To be eligible for lateral entry to the BTech programme, candidates must have passed a Diploma in Engineering in the relevant field/ stream or a BSc from a UGC-recognised university, with a minimum aggregate of 50%. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, the minimum required aggregate is 45%. Additionally, candidates must have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject in Class 12.

The list of the documents candidates are required to attach the soft copy while filling out the online application form for admission to BTech at SOA University is as follows:
- Provisional Admission Letter
- Class 10 Marksheet & Certificate
- Class 12 Marksheet & Certificate
- School/College Leaving or Transfer Certificate
- Conduct Certificate (if available)
- Migration Certificate
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applicable, issued by IMS and SUM Hospital)
- Two sets of self-attested photocopies of all documents

The accurate last date to fill out the SAAT 2025 application form for admissions to BTech at SOA University has not been released yet. However, the SOA Admission Test (SAAT) 2025 is scheduled for April. Therefore, the last date to fill out the application form must be released before the entrance examination date. Candidates are suggested to fill out the application form at the earliest.

From the past three years, the CAT cutoff remained consistent for SOA University for open category. Even, as per the SOA University CAT cutoff 2024, the MBA cutoff stood at 25 for the General AI category candidates. It is expected that the continous trend will show a consistent trend in the upcoming cycle and it is assumed that CAT percentile will going to be remain same in the upcoming admission cycle.

To get admission to Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University (SOA) in Bhubaneswar, you need to apply for the Siksha O Anusandhan Admissions Test (SAAT) or a similar qualifying exam. Generally it is more than 10 lakhs but for the last year , it was very less. It is for the affiliating colleges. Main campus cutoffs are high.
