SoT, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) Admission Process

School of Technology, PDEU offers admission to PhD programme based on Written Aptitude Test or WAT conducted by the school. In WAT, 50% weightage is given to research methodology and 50% to subject specific question. Selected candidates are further required to pass the personal interview round. 30% weightage is given to PI in the selection process. Aspirants with a valid score UGC-NET/ CSIR/ SLET/ GATE are exempted from appearing for WAT.

Candidates must present the following documents while appearing for the Personal Interview round at SoT Pandit Deendayal Energy University in front of the Interview panel:

• Admit Card/ Hall Ticket/ Confirmation Mail
• Photo Identity Proof (Aadhar Card/ Election Card/ Driving License)
• Certificates and Medals of achievements (if any)

SOT PDEU BSc admission 2024 is entirely merit-based as admissions are based on marks obtained by candidates in the Class 12 or equivalent examination followed by the Personal Interview. The merit list prepared by the University gives 75% weightage to theory marks of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and, 25% weightage to Personal Interview.

During SOT PDEU BSc admission, candidates are required to submit the following documents to the admission committee for the verification process as mentioned below:

• Aadhar Card
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Class 10 marksheet and passing Certificate
• Class 12 marksheet and Certificate
• SC/ ST/ PwD Certificate issued by the competent authority
• School Leaving Certificate

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc at SOT PDEU can get direct admission as the SOT PDEU BSc admission is entirely merit-based for the academic year 2024. Admissions are based on marks obtained by candidates in the Class 12 or equivalent examination followed by the Personal Interview process. 

SOT PDEU BSc admission dates 2024 have been announced by the University. The application forms are out on the official website of the University and the SOT PDEU BSc deadline to fill out the application form is midnight of Jul 15, 2024.

SOT PDEU BSc application forms are out on the University's official website for the academic year 2024. To apply for admission, candidates should fill out the online application form available on the PDEU website and pay the non-refundable SOT PDEU BSc application fees of INR 700 through Internet Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card.

Candidates are first required to register for the programme of their choice at SOT PDEU. The school shortlists candidates for most of the courses based on entrance exam scores. SOT PDEU accepts JEE Main or GUJCET for BTech and GATE for M.Tech programmes. Non-GATE qualified candidates are selected based on qualifying exam score and PI round. Besides, SOT conducts written test for MSc and PhD programmes. For BSc admission, both merit and PI round is considered.
