Candidates seeking admission to SOT PDEU BSc course are required to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed any of the following qualifying examinations with English as one of the subjects can get admission to the BSc programme as mentioned below:
- Class 12 examination from any recognised Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination
- Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy
- General Certificate Education examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced level with minimum passes of two/ three subjects

SOT PDEU offers UG and PG programmes, namely BTech, MTech, BSc and MSc. Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility requirement to apply for any of the programme. Below is course-wise eligibility:

Candidates who have complete a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate or CPI/ CGPA of 5.5 in 10 point scale in the qualifying degree in relevant subjects can apply for SOT PDEU M.Tech course. The subject requirement varies specialisation-wise for M.Tech programme. Aspirants applying for M.Tech must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission.
