Southern Illinois offers scholarships for international students entering as freshman and ACT composite score of 26 or higher or an SAT score of 1240 or higher is needed. Secondly, qualifies students may access alternative tuition rate through partnerships with universities globally. International students must submit a proof of English Language proficiency to be considered for Southern Ilinois University admission ( especially non-english speaking countries). Students can demonstrate that they are proficient in English by submitting the English proficiency test scores.

The GPA requirement for automatic to southern Illinois University is a Cumlative high school HPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 Additionally, applicants can qualify through either a top 10% ranking in their graduating class or a test score equivalent to an 23 on the ACT or 1130 o the SAT. Yes, students need to submit the proof of financial resources before they can get an I-20. From the Spring 2023 term, the funding requirement will be raised to USD 44,000 (INR 36,52,770). At present, it is USD 42,500 (INR 35,28,243). Students need to prove that they have atleast this much amount to handle their first-year academic expenditure on tuition, fees, and accommodation. The proof cannot be older than 6 months. The proof can be a statement from your bank or financial institution.
