Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
| Courses | Eligibility |

| B.Com | Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board. |
| B.Sc. | Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board. |
| BCA | Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board. |
| BBA | Candidate must pass 10+2 Examination or equivalent from recognised University. |
| B.A. | Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board. |
| MSW | Candidates must be graduate in a relevant stream from a recognised university. |
| M.Sc. | Candidates who have B.Sc. (Mathematics (CA) from a recognised university are also eligible to apply. |
| M.A. | Candidates must be graduate with Part- II English at UG level from a recognised university. |
| M.Com | Candidates who have completed B.Com (E-Commerce), B.Com (CS) with CA, B.Com (Co.op), B.Com (Co.op) with CA, B.Com Bank Management from a recognised university are also eligible to apply. |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidates must be graduate in a relevant stream from a recognised university. |
| MCA | Candidates must be graduate in a relevant stream from a recognised university. |
