The college is more known for B.Tech and better placement and teaching standards for B.Tech course.
You can pursue MBA from this college if it is near your location as the fees for MBA in this college is low ( 32,500 Rs per annum).

UG (B.Tech) admissions are conducted through the common entrance test (EAPCET) by the Andhra Pradesh state government. While 70% of the seats allotted are based on merit in EAPCET, 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management Quota. In addition, the Engineering Diploma holders, based on their merit at ECET (FDH), are admitted into Lateral Entry (II year B.Tech Courses) to the tune of 20% of the total intake.

Placements: Both REC and SVCE have good placement records for Biotechnology graduates. However, REC may have a slightly better placement record.
Research: REC has a stronger research focus than SVCE. If you are interested in doing research in Biotechnology, then REC may be a better option for you.
Industry connections: REC has stronger industry connections than SVCE. If you are interested in working in the Biotechnology industry, then REC may be a better option for you.

Hi, Comparing both the institutions, it's a tough decision to take one. So, I would like to say good things at both the colleges. SRM and SVCE both were found in 1985 and both were located in Tamilnadu. SVCE is affiliated to Anna University. If we SEE the placements of both colleges over the past 5years, they have been constantly pushing themselves to create better opportunities for the students. The highest package at SRM Chennai is 1crore (the latest) and at SVCE it was 46.7 LPA. So placements were good at SRM compared to SVCE.
