Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi

Venky (SVC is popularly known as Venky) ranks among top colleges of DU and the best co-ed college in South campus. Faculty is excellent in terms of qualifications, experience, research and behaviour specially Dr. Shruti Mathur. She is an amazing and diligent teacher which is hard to find in DU.You will never feel dull. Crowd is lively and Satya niketan market is just opposite to the college GATE which is any day better than North Campus ( I have done my M.Com. from North Campus, thats why I can compare the two). You have all the famous restaurants of Hudson Lane in immediate vicinity. One lecture is free and you can hop to the delicious momos across the street. QDs, BYD, Pizza Hut, Keventers, 34 Chowringee Lane among so many. And college’s canteen is okay.

I won't say SVC is in any way lesser than KMC especially after seeing the open canteen scenario.

It's my personal belief that north campus offers you much more exposure. The societies in KMC are super active and during fest season you just can't stop seeing each department working enthusiastically.

As far as the faculty is concerned, the teachers are well qualified and deliver their best to teach the concepts.

The college offers every facility one demands to succeed in his/her field - be it sports, co curricular or academics.Both colleges are good in their own way and the deciding factor will be your course. But, if you're asking in a general way then KMC is definitely better than Venky.

Both colleges showcase strengths in their placement efforts, with active placement cells and engagement with reputed companies. Sri Venkateswara College impresses with a diverse range of companies visiting the campus, while Kirori Mal College highlights top recruiters like Accenture, Brain and Company, and Byju's.

However, Sri Venkateswara College faces concerns about lower placements in arts and Science streams, particularly in comparison to commerce streams. On the other hand, Kirori Mal College receives mixed feedback about the roles offered by some companies like Wipro.

Your choice between the two may depend on the specific companies you aspire to work with, your preferred academic discipline, and your overall career goals. Consider these aspects along with other factors like campus life, facilities, and extracurricular opportunities when making a decision.
