To gain admission to Sri Venkateswara University's BTech program, the candidate should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students who have vocational courses in Engineering and Technology from the boards of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana are also entitled. Eligibility according to academic standards is necessary for submission of applications. Only eligible applicants can move on to the selection process.

SV University offers admission on the basis of entrance. For courses such as MBA/MCA, candidates must secure valid scores in APICET, whereas, for courses such as BTech, candidates must secure valid scores in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET. As per the 2024 last round cutoff range, BTech cutoff ranged from 3273-53089 (General HS). However, for OBC HS, closing rank for 2024 ranged between 5214-86402, and SC HS ranked from 12021-134796.
