SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology admission to BTech and MTech is based on TNEA Counselling and TNCET entrance exams, respectively. However, for MBA the institutes accepts various entrance exams, such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT, and State Common Entrance Test. Additionally, to be eligible for admission, candidates also need to pass Class 10 and Class 12 for admission to BTech and graduation degree for admission to MTech and MBA.

SRM Madurai accept entrance examination scores conducted at national/state/central government levels. Thus, aspirants can apply with a valid score of CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT.
