Admissions to the majority of courses at SRM University Andhra Pradesh (SRM AP) are based on entrance examination, SRMJEEE-SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering-for the B.Tech courses. There may be few courses where the candidate can apply through direct admissions on the basis of their merit criteria or the university's conducted entrance exams. It is, however advisable to check on specific requirements for eligibility and admissions specifically for the course applied, as these are varied in different courses. If we compare the BA courses offered by BRAU, Acharya Nagarjuna University and SRM University, we will see that Acharya Nagarjuna University is the only university that offers more than 100 BA courses. Acharya Nagarjuna University offers 145 BA courses through its affiliated colleges whereas BRAU and SRM University offers 67 and 11 BA courses, respectively.

Both BRAU and Acharya Nagarjuna University have similar tuition fees and are quite affordabe compared to SRM University. If we look at the tuition fees of different colleges afilliated to the range for tuition fees for BRAU and Acharya Nagarjuna University, is INR 13,900 - 33,000 and INR 13,300 – 37,400, respectively.

On the other hand, SRM University has a tuition fees of INR 4.7 Lacs - INR 6.2 Lacs depending on the BA course chosen. Therefore, both BRAU and Acharya Nagarjuna have affordable BA options depending on the course chosen.

To withdrawal the application from the hostel, candidates are required to fill out the refund request form. Below are the guidelines for requesting refunds for Hostel & Mess Fees:

  • Full Hostel Fees will be refunded if the candidates withdraws before the commencement of the classes. Further, the administrative charges of INR 5000 will be deducted to the amount.
  • No Hostel Fee Refund is provided after the commencement of the classes.
  • Mess Fee will be refunded on a pro rata basis (rounded off to the full month). Administrative charges of INR 5000/- will be deducted

The refund process will begin only upon receipt of the following original documents by courier or in person, by the Director of Admissions, Amaravati.

  • All receipts towards the payment of fees
  • Counseling Call Letter
  • Provisional Allotment Letter (PAL)
  • Cheque leaf (cancelled) of the bank to which transfer of money is to be done. (in case money needs to be refunded to some other account)

Note: If all documents submitted for refund are in order, then the time taken to process and effect the transfer of refund money will be 30 working days.
