No, it is not possible to change the SSC JE exam center after the release of the admit card. The exam center is allotted based on the preferences provided by the candidate at the time of filling the application form, and the SSC JE admit card contains the details of the exam center allotted to the candidate. Once the admit card is issued, the exam center cannot be changed under any circumstances. Candidates are required to appear for the exam at the allotted exam center as mentioned on their admit card. Any deviation from this will result in disqualification from the exam.

The candidates who applies in the category of scribe have to present physical limitation certificate infront of the examniation authority approved by the Chief Medical Officer, Civil Surgeon, Medical Supritendent of Government health care instituition. The SSC JE Paper 2 exam is conducted for 2 hours, However, for the scribe candidates it is conducted for 2 hours and 40 minutes. The paper 2 is conducted for 200 marks. The complete pattern of the exam has been given below:
- Paper 2 is an objective paper conducted in computer based mode
- Candidates have to attempt a question paper of 300 marks in 2 hours
- Paper 2 is a conventional type exam, candidates have to choose the subject from Part A- Civil & Structural Engineering, Part B- Electrical Engineering or Part C- Mechanical Engineering
- 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The applicants need to have a degree or diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering from a recognized institute to apply for the post.
The age limit is usually 18 to 32 years, with some relaxation for reserved categories.
CSE/IT/EEE are not eligible for SSC JE.ould have B.E/B.Tech. Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university to fulfill the SSC JE Educational Qualification requirements.

As per the guidelines of the SSC JE exam there is no specific dress code for appearing in the SSC JE exam. However, the aspirants are advised to wear dress in a neat and presentable when appearing for any competitive exam. It is recommended to wer comforatble clothing that allows the candidate to sit and write the exam without discomfort. Avoid wearing the flashyor proactive attire and opt for something modest and professional.
However, the candidates must check the guidelines everytime it is released by the SSC regarding the exam. The commission may set the guidelines for the dress code for the SSC JE exam.
