The Commission earlier released a total of 1340 vacancies. As per the official notice, the vacancies are increased. Now, the number of vacancies are 1731. The exam will be held to recruit junior engineers across the several central government departments. The notification was released on June 30, 2025.

According to the 7th Central Pay Commission, the SSC JE salary under Pay Level 6 falls within a pay scale of INR 35,400 to INR 112,400. After deductions, in-hand salary ranges from INR 42,000 to 50,000.

The SSC JE eligibility criteria comprise nationality, age limit, and educational qualification. Candidates must be Indian citizens, and their age should be between 18 and 30 or 32 years. It depends upon the specific department. Candidates should have an educational degree or Diploma in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering from a recognised university.

The SSC JE 2025 Tier Answer Key will be released on the official website after the conduction of a Tier 1 exam. The Tier 1 exam is tentatively scheduled to be conducted from October 27 to 31, 2025. The answer key will be released in the form of a PDF, along with the question papers and candidates' response sheets.
