The Commission earlier released a total of 1340 vacancies. As per the official notice, the vacancies are increased. Now, the number of vacancies are 1731. The exam will be held to recruit junior engineers across the several central government departments. The notification was released on June 30, 2025.

Yes. The authority released the notification and application form. The last date to apply was July 21, 2025. The SSC JE Tier 1 exam 2025 will be conducted tentatively in December 2025.

Candidates who clear SSC JE exam are appointed as junior engineers in departments of Government of India to fulfill technical projects. The exam is conducted for students who have a Diploma degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
