St. Joseph's University is a Tier 2 college. It is a private aided, Jesuit, higher educational institution run by the Karnataka Province of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It is one of the oldest educational institution in the state of Karnataka, founded in 1882. It offers graduate, post-graduate and research education.

Center for Skill development and Placements carries out the placement events. As per a placemnet event happened in April 2024, twelve companies partcipated focusing on different professional disciplines. Federal Bank for BCom, BCA, BA and BBA, Torque for MA (English Literature and Journalism), Warpdrive for MSW and MSc Psychology, Inventure Academy for Msc/MA, Yoga Bar for BCom/BBA and the Adecco Group or BCA. Others include Paypal, Dobby, TCS, Zerodha, City Union Bank, Kreate in need of different skill sets. In the month of February also, they had another one including twelve another companies like CUMI, Nexus consulting, RV Learning

There are many facilities available at St. Joseph University Demapur. All the basic facilities are available including well ventilated and furnished classrooms, well-equipped library with all the facilities. Well equipped labs, auditorium. Hostels for both boys and girls with all the facilities like dinning area etc.Well-maintained sports facilities for students, staff, and faculty, including sports trainers, inter-university competitions, and tournaments. Other facilities like student council, information center etc. You are advised to visit the Institute to get practical information about the facilities.
