Being a state Technical University, The IKGPTU has not achieve the level for which University deserved. The placement scenario of University is not too satisfactory and only 7 students from Jalandhar campus has been selected in Infosys in January 2020, While 24 from other affiliated colleges. I am currently enrolled for CSE in Chitkara University so I think I am suited to answer your question. Our university boasts of 100 percent placement with an average package of 5-6 LPA, with the highest varying between 30 to 32 LPA.

In Biomedical Engineering, you can get various type of jobs like Sales Engineer, Service Engineer, Application Specialist, R&D Engineer, Design Engineer. But these job profiles are nothing when compared to the mechanical engineering scope as mechanical is a core branch and Biomedical is a specialized branch. After Finishing your mechanical engineering you can take up Biomedical Engineering jobs as well.

Placements for computer is really good here. 2 years ago, nearly 35 students got placed in infosys, persistent like companies. But the current scenario about the placement s is not very good. You can say, it is below average.

Hello,If you missed it the first time and you know you made a mistake and are sure to get out of these problems and score good in engineering entrance exams then no problem, you can. Don't Worry about a year gap during the placements because if you get a good college then there is no problem at all.

Last year's placement statistics are available on the college website.
Also, the DSM admission does not come with a guarantee of placement for all, and it depends much on the students potential to grab the opportunity, which is for sure available in plenty.
