During the final year of Master's degree or after Master's degree, you can go for JRF, if you are interested in academics. But, if you want to work for media industry, then there is no need to go for JRF. If you go for JRF and qualified UGC NET with JRF then whenever you will join Ph.D. within 5 years, university will give you scholarship for the same. Dear, If you are seriously focused to become a TV anchor, then I don't recommend you for going a full time Bachelor or master programme of media course. You can do short-term course of TV production and TV anchoring. Then, you just join as intern in news channel, so that you can get exact and real exposure of anchoring. Because I think, no institute will give you a real exposure of anchoring which is done by professionals in news channels. They exactly know the difficulties of this area and how to overcome all such things. So, real exposure can get through only internship in any news channel.
