But the college majorly provided courses at SUNY Maritime College are environmental studies, mechanical engineering, business, marketing and management and support services, naval architecture and marine engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, industrial engineering, and maritime studies. According to enrollment the top three programs at SUNY Maritime College are Mechanical Engineering, International Transportation and Marine Transportation. Approximately two-third of Maritime’s students earn degrees in engineering or business.

Getting part time jobs at SUNY Maritime college is not difficult. Being located in New York, it allows students to have numerous jobs in the city off campus. Working off campus has some restrictions, if a student is working off campus than that job must be that job must be community service-oriented likehealth care, child care, adult literacy, child education, recreation and other social services. Apart from off campus jobs students who receive federal work study as part of their financial aid package, will be able to get a part-time job to supplement their income.Some work-study positions are listed in Purple Briefcase; other position

Students say that they get hands-on experience in various industries, including business, engineering, maritime studies, and marine biology. Engineering programme of SUNY Maritime College stands out strong and prepare students for successful careers. The campus life is tedious and can be challenging at first. The school has good sports club.

SUNY Maritime College is a right call for International students. The college provides a selection of courses in Marine Engineering, International Transportation, Marine Environmental Science, Naval Architecture etc. The college has an International Student Services Office which provides academic support to International students, gives Advisement on F-1 status, hosts cultural events and programs. A PDF named International Student Handbook is also available on the college website with all the pre-arrival information.

The application fee of SUNY Maritime College is $50 (INR 4190.66) which is non refundable. Applicants can apply through the Common Application Portal using credit card, debit card or Paypal. Fee waiver is also available for eligible students.

SUNY Maritime College is not very competitive to get into. Even if you have mediocre grades you can get in. The acceptance rate of SUNY Maritime College is 80%. Of the applicants who submitted test results to SUNY Maritime, half had an ACT score of 24-28 or a SAT score between 1140 and 1300, which is not very hard to achieve. However, good high school record of applicant and letter or recommendation is considered to be important for admission to the college.
