The college campus is 55 acres. Numerous student services are provided by SUNY Maritime College, such as placement assistance, health services, nonremedial tutoring, and health insurance. Additionally, SUNY Maritime College provides 24-hour emergency phone service, lighted walkways and pathways, controlled dormitory access, and foot and vehicle patrols. To get to study at SUNY Maritime College, students need to apply for an F1 Visa. Pre-requisites for F1 Visa is as follows:
- College acceptance letter.
- An I 20 form, issued by the college which confirms that you are accepted in a specific academic program. After getting the I 20 form, student can then make an appointment for a visa with his local U.S. embassy or consulate office. Pay the SEVIS fee by completing I 901 form. Printed receipt of the form is also required.
- Document of financial status.
- Former academic documents alongwith English proficiency test score certificate i.e TOEFL or IELTS.

If a student is applying through early decision, application must be completed and submitted by 1st November. The regular admission deadline is 31st January for which the deposit must be paid by May 1.

Yes, an average student can join SUNY Maritime College as the acceptance rate of is 80%. All a student need to have is an average SAT score between 1140 and 1300 or an ACT score of 24 and 28. Being a non-native English speaker an Indian student need to provide English Proficiency proof through TOEFL and IELTS exam. A minimum TOEFL score of 79 and an IELTS band score of 6.5 are needed to be eligible.
