Hi Sagaria, No, there is no GK section in UGC NET. But from December 2018 NTA changed the exam pattern. UGC NET is noe conducted in 2 paper where Paper-1 is a general aptitude paper which is common for all the aspirants and Paper-2 is the selective paper. If you have completed your post-graduation and want to become a lecturer in top universities of India then you should prepare for NET exam. Yes, you can do that. It was not valid one year ago, but last year in July, University Grants Commission (UGC) approved that a student can pursue two degrees at the same time, but not as a regular student. The rule says "One degree as a regular student and another degree through open/distance learning. Thank you.
