Both UWE & TU are considered among the best higher educational institutions of their respective regions, as evidenced by the fact that UWE secures a country-level rank of #70, while Tessside secures a rank of #94 as part of the latest Shiksha Popularity Rankings.
However, both are selective to varying degrees when it comes to granting admissions to students. The UWE acceptance rate of 57% makes it relatively less selective & easier to secure admissions at as compared to Teesside that has an acceptance rate of around 31%.
