MBA Telecom Maanagement is a good option if you want to restrict your career to Telecommunications industry only. I will recommend you that do generic MBA to increase options / career opportunities.

Most of Income Tax (IT) department jobs require graduation degree as eligibility criteria. Therefore, you may not be eligible for most of IT posts.

The telecom faculty is strict. Otherwise the subjects are almost the same in electronics and instrumentation except for few in higher semesters.

You can join B.Tech ECE as lateral entry in second year. If you want to study along with job then you may go for Grad IETE. You may also evaluate short courses on embedded system for better career opportunities.

Telecom is similar to ECE except for few subjects in the higher semesters. The faculty is pretty strict . The dept. focuses more on open ended experiments and mini projects. You have to be regular and sincere to score good marks.Number of companies do visit and recruit students (assured placements) but the pay scale is less initially. there is a better scope if you pursue higher studies abroad or look for a job abroad.
